The engine is home!

I have cleaned, deburred, cleaned again, masked primed and painted the block and heads. I am completely stoked! Ain't she purdy?

Have to repost some missing posts

I dunno what happened but about 5 updates are missing. I will try to catch up in one post. OK so the bed is off! We only had to cut one...

Lot's to update today

I got the seat base cut, welded and ground smooth. I had to alter the cross bar (again!) to fit the height this time. I placed the...

It could be a bit better but, for the money, I think it turned out pretty well. It's 6u ford tan. This will be the color of all the...

More blasting today. It never ends...

I got quite a few parts off the front end blasted today. Ready to clean and paint. I love the look of freshly blasted parts. Almost...

The heads are done at the machinist

I spaced and forgot to take pics but the heads are done at the machinist. They look fantastic, albeit bare. I will pick them up soon and...

Fuel system updates

Below is an example of just how far I am willing to go to make everything match. I want all of the fuel system to be black and that was...

The turning point...

Yesterday was the turning point in the build. The first two parts went back on the truck. It was only bump stops, but, still, it means...

The beginning...

This is what we are starting with. I will take photos before and after each step of the process. I will do my best to do things in...

Working on small parts and the frame

While the block and heads are at the machinist, I decided to tear into all the small parts like brackets, pulleys and the suspension...

These are photos of some of the prettier parts. LOL. I will post more as they arrive. So far I have bought all new brake components...
